It seems to me I'm just no good at blogging any more. I rarely get online but if I do, I blog. So as you can see it's been a few weeks since I have even been near a computer. I think about everyone and wonder what is happening but to actually get online is another thing. I find there is never a good time and its too late or I'm too tired. I can't sit still long as I get a sore back or someone else is using the computer..

The weeks and months seem to be passing by and I am amazed it is nearly 2009 already.

I think the start of next year will go slowly though.

So Congrats to all American's on electing Obama as your new President. I bet your happy it's all over with. What a long time to wait! I hope it's a great new beginning with wonderful changes. Sorry to all of those who voted otherwise. Maybe next time hey...

My Dad and Step-Mum are breaking up. They have been married six years. It's taken me a while to accept her and the family that came with her but I did and I was always happy for Dad as it had been a while since Mum had passed. He's taking it hard as to be expected and I would have liked it if they had tried to make it work but it doesn't look good. I guess all I can do is be there if he needs me.

A.j had his sleep over camp last week. He had great fun at the Waves Pool during the day and then slept at the school that evening. I missed him but was glad he was having fun. He's rarely away over night so it was weird. He's had a few friends over after school the last few weeks which has kept him happily occupied and there is a boy recently moved next door who is over right now.

Well, I'm doing fine, the pic you see of me was taken a few minutes ago. I'm 22 weeks... Yay..

So bubby is doing fine and kicking and growing well. Some of the kicks are a bit uncomfortable, and it looks funny when you can see the movements when you look at my tummy.. I had a u/s scan 2 weeks ago as you know.. I'm sorry it took so long to post a pic but I finally did :-) . I'm starting the count down which could be a long process. Only 18 weeks or less to go! lol. and it's going to a boy. So now we can think about names... mmm, that one is going to be hard.

Hey..

Computers! I'm not liking mine much these days.
The last month has been a good one for us. I had a Birthday, Ayden had school holidays for 2 weeks and Steven and I celebrated our 10th year Wedding Anniversary. We were going to go away for a few nights over the school holidays as a late anniversary but it never happened, we have to make time in the future.

I'm still working casual and hubby is still slaving away fixing tractors etc. Ayden is doing well at school though he needs more writing practice. He's ahead of all of the kids in his class with reading but his writing is not matching up with it and the teacher doesn't understand why he isn't a perfect writer if he reads so well. I think he is more of a visual learner and writing takes lots of practical hard work..lol..

The year is flying by! I can't believe that its the middle of October already. At least its Spring here and warming up a bit. I'm 19 weeks tomorrow. Bubby is moving around constantly and hubby can just feel him/her move when his hand is on my tummy. I'm excitedly waiting my 20 week scan next Friday. I've had a little bit of backache but lying down on my side helps. Bubby is kicking while I type.. lol.... and I have a bit of a tummy now but it seems to be competing with my rapidly expanding chest.. which I think has stopped growing for now.. Thankfully... (the chest not the tummy). Will post a belly pic soon... promise :-)

13 Weeks and 4 Days.. U/S Pic

Sorry about the size of the pic which has moved to the bottom of this post.. but if you click on it hopfully it will be larger.
The U/S went well but bubby kept moving so it was hard to get a good pic to start with.
The guy doing the U/S said that he would have a guess as to what we were having. He said maybe a boy but of course it's early so he could be wrong.
It took 40 minutes or so and I even saw bubby waving at us.
Next U/S will be around 20 weeks. I am exactly right with dates. I'm due on the 14th March.

I'm pretty tired so will try and get online tomorrow and see how your all getting. Until then.. Stay safe and be happy..

Spring Has Sprung....

Baby Belly pics at 12 weeks and 5 days...

It's FINALLY Spring time... My absolute favourite time of the year.
Ok, so my Birthday is this month, also it's our 10th year Wedding Anniversary on the 26th September.

A couple of months ago I got in touch with some old High School friends through the Friends Reunited website. I signed up to the site last year and over the last few months something has driven people to the site. I had wanted to get in touch with a few old friends for years but could never find them. So maybe we will be having a re-union not too far in the distant future. It would be great.

On Tuesday the circus arrived in town. We went to see the show and really enjoyed it. The didn't have the Tigers or Lions (rare to see at any circus these days due to laws, costs and regulations) but they did have four cows, Geese, a miniature pony and a few other farm animals. The HUGE cows walked around as directed and then stood on platforms looking over the audience as a pony ran through their legs.

I would have had pics but it was too dark and we were too far away. Which brings me to the gripe of the day.. BATTERIES going flat! I need to invest in rechargeables...

I am happy to let you know that I go for my U/S on Wednesday arvo.. Yay.. I'm not looking forward to the full bladder but I am looking forward to seeing bubby on the screen. I got my blood tests and urine test back for the first trimester screening and all is perfect. I am healthy and virus free.. Niccceeee...

Before I go... CONGRATS CHAS.... I'm so happy for you...
Ok, I'm off to finish blog reading and find some batteries..

Saturday Sook

So as per usual I have not much to say and can't even think of a title!
I just wanted to update and let you know I'm still alive and kicking.

I have made it to 10 weeks. YAY... I will be able to relax once I get a scan done. Which should be in about 3 weeks time... AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I can tell you that having the miscarriage last year has made it so difficult to just relax and enjoy this. I have been worried every day and I want to be able to not worry. I know that whatever happens, happens but it does not make it any easier to not worry. If this makes sense I guess the truth is that I haven't been able to full appreciate or accept that this is real for fear of getting to emotionally involved and the hurt that could follow if something is wrong. I know a lot of you will know these feeling all too well as you've been there..

My Dr tells me everything is going fine and I think.... How would he know. I have only had a blood test done. How can he see all is well by that? My bp is perfect and I have stopped taking all but one type of med for it. The only time it is ever perfect is when I am pregnant. So that's good, very good.

Anyway, he said I can be booked in for a scan in my 13th week... Mind you I still have to see him to get the referral.. I was a bit upset, definitely hormones because I did know he wouldn't send me any earlier anyway..

Puppy is well and we are still toilet training him.. He is just like a toddler, playing for 2 hours and then suddenly falling asleep. Waking quickly with a full bladder and daring you to wait more than a minute to take him outside! Cute, sweet and smelly! Just like a little puppy is....

Ok, that's it for my hormonal whinge today... Hope it didn't stress you out..

Meet Toby

The new family member. My darling hubby had been trying to talk me into getting another dog for a while. I had tried to remind him of all the puppy fun to be had when owning one. He came home on Friday night with this little bundle of joy.. At only 7 weeks of age, already named but not toilet trained.. knowing that I would not make him take him back after I had seen him and how cute he was... Not to cause confusion to the little critter I have kept the name the original owners had. I'm a sucker for a cute face!

My Dad had an operation yesterday. He had a hernia removed from his stomach, it was a day operation so not huge... and it's his Birthday today... I don't think he will be having a big party tonight though... lol.....

Bad Pic Placement... So Shoot me!

Our Guitar Hero!

We took Ayden to Mildura last weekend. They had the opening of a new Game Traders and as a special treat they had the Storm Troopers make a special appearance. Ayden got a free polaroid pic taken with them.

Sorry it's a small pic but I couldn't enlarge it. I'm just not that good with the photo editor and it didn't want to co-operate with me.

We also went and did some clothes shopping.. I got a few nice things and as you can see A.j got new P.j's. Which he was happy to wear while being a Guitar Hero! We got the guitar fo a bargain of $17 at the Game Traders and you can jam with it, learn new songs and use an I-pod with it and..... it's a Gibson!

All is good at home and work.. nothing to complain about here....
